Event Description
Spooktacular Shoot I & II are two CMSA DWPQ shoots on the weekend of October 24 & 25, 2026 hosted by the Wild Rice Peacemakers at the Winter Shows Arena (formerly Red River Valley Shows) in Crookston, MN.
Schedule (all times are approximate): Registration Friday night 7:00pm-9:00pm--place TBA.
SATURDAY:
8:00am-9:00am - Check-in and Registration
9:45am -- Mandatory Safety Meeting including Wranglers followed by Wrangler Ground Shooting, Presentation of the Colors and National Anthems
10:00am -- 4 Stage Main Match Shoot followed by 2 Stage Shotgun
Approximately 1 hour after last shot there will be a potluck supper (more details to come) followed by presentation of awards.
SUNDAY:
Costume Contest! Judging will be in the main arena before first shot. Prizes for best Adult and best Wrangler costume. *All costumes must be approved by the Match Directors prior to start. Standard CMSA dress requirements apply to anyone not in costume. Costumes will be judged before MM starts.
7:30am-8:00am -- Check-in and Registration
8:30am -- Mandatory Safety Meeting including Wranglers followed by Wrangler Ground Shooting, Presentation of the Colors and National Anthems
9:00am -- Starting with 2 Stages Rifle, then 3 Stage Main Match Shoot.
Awards and Checks approximately 1 hours after last shot
Ammo: Whitehouse & Curly's
Camping: Primitive camping at the arena; toilets on site - *NO ELECTRIC
Metal Stalls: $35.00 for the weekend -- Move In 10/23/2026 and Move Out 10/25/2026. Stalls will be assigned and must be filled before porta pens will be allowed. Wood shavings are $9/bag. Stalls must be cleaned prior to leaving. We will have larger indoor pens available for families with several horses for $15/horse.

All CMSA and WRPM rules and policies apply. All CMSA members will be required to show their current CMSA card. If you have not already provided WRPM with a copy of your current negative coggins, please be prepared to provide one upon check-in. The WRPM/CMSA membership application is available on www.wildricepeacemakers.com.
All riders will need to sign the release form at the shoot when signing in. Any minors whose parents will not be in attendance must bring a signed parental release form with them.
